There's a place for you at Tyler Street!
This Sunday, we extend a warm welcome to the faculty, staff and Board of Directors of Tyler Street Christian Academy. You are a very important part of our Tyler Street family. May God's love, wisdom and power through the Holy Spirit be with you during the new school year
Want to get involved in an exciting ministry? Carillon Ringers needs you! On Sunday August 23, the Carillon Ringers will meet at Tejanos Restaurant for fellowship and an informational meeting regarding the fall Handbell schedule. Make plans to join us for this meeting. Rehearsal will begin September 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Rehearsal Hall on the second floor of the Sanctuary building.
Alpha...Are you rusty on the basics of Christianity? Ever wish you could explain your faith in a way that non-Christians can understand? Are you contemplating becoming a Christian or joining the church? Do you ever wonder if there is more to life? Do you want to belong to a group of people who care about you?
If you fit into any of the above categories, then the Alpha course is for you. Alpha is a ten-week study of Christianity built around good meals, fellowship, straightforward teaching, and lively conversations. There will be an introductory dinner on Monday, September 14 @ 7:00 in Yeats Hall where you can learn more about Alpha and register for the course. For more information, contact John Wilks at 214.946.8106 or e-mail to alpha@tsumc.org.

Most of the people groups for which these translations have been done are pre-literate oral societies. Hearing and seeing Scripture presentations is very effective for spreading the Good News. Nathan, their newly adopted son from the Philippines, will be with them. Scott, a member of Tyler Street, attended the church before he went overseas.
