GloriaHe was before light dawned.
By his father took his place.
God whispered in his ear
What words did Jesus hear?
Let there be light!
So burst forth the glory
Of the never ending God
Jesus is the light of God.
Called out of God’s presence
The light of the world, his presence
Draw near to him rest in his presence.
For six days he toiled by speaking
Creating all the sky land and sea
On the sixth day his masterpiece man
Formed from the earth male and female, man
All was good, very good they rested
God, Jesus, and Spirit put work aside
He gave it to us as a day of rest and worship
Commanded us to spend the day in rest and worship
Sabbath is the day to worship God
His light filled the sky, the glory of God
Angels join us to worship the Lord our God.
Now the end is near the light seems dim
The light he who spoke forth life kneels
Cries out to his Father spare me
Not my will, just yours forgive me.
He calls on the glory
Of the Lord to come
Fill this place overcome the darkness
See my friends preserve them in darkness.
All glory to you my Father
Let everyone bring his praise to the Father
Together they abide with us Spirit, Son, and Father.
Jesus rescued me by dying on the cross
Pulled me from the pit of despair
He changed my life, my heart
Abiding forever in my heart
No longer need I live in fear
Yet every day I must overcome its pull
In my weakness does he empower
To live I need his power.
Let God come in regain his rightful claim
Restore your life in Jesus, forever the same
Give him your heart, live by his glorious name.
As God Speaks
