“Entrusted to be Present”
Hebrews 10:25
Prayer:
Almighty and everlasting God, in Christ you have revealed your glory among the nations: Preserve the works of your mercy, that your Church throughout the world may persevere with steadfast faith in the confession of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Collect for Proper 24, Book of Common Prayer (ECUSA)
Food for thought:
“Doing life together was God's plan from the beginning of time. From the relationship of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the Trinity, to the twelve apostles, to the house churches, and even Jesus' final words in the Great Comission (Matthew 28:16-20)- all share the pattern of life together.”
Rick Warren, from the introduction to the Life Together small group curriculum series.
